You have already learned how to arrange cubes in Tetris but make no mistake: Q-Bust is all about becoming an expert in creating three dimensional cube formations.
How it works:
The playing board is square and has 7 rows that each have 7 spaces. |
You can always slide your cube onto the playing board from 2 sides. |
Each cube slides onto the playing board until it hits another one. If the one it hits is a single cube, then that cube will be shifted one position further. |
If the current cube does not fit on the playing board, then the game will automatically end. |
Rotating the playing board |
By clicking this button, you can rotate the playing board by 90 degrees. This button can be found on the bottom, right-hand side of the playing board.
Normal Cubes |
There are blue, green, red, and purple cubes that can be used to create cube formations with one another.
The Gray Cube |
Gray cubes have a fixed position and cannot be moved. Gray cubes are not colour cubes.
The Fire Cube |
By using the fire cube, you can melt away all movable cubes in a row. The fire cube is quite useful if the playing board is already very full and you barely have any room left to slide more cubes onto it.
The Colour-Changing Cube |
Colour-changing cubes have the ability change the colour of the cube that they slide into on the playing board. Here is an example of how you can use them: Here is an example of how you can use them:

The Star Cube |
| If you clear a formation that contains a star cube, you will receive 25 bonus points as soon as you reach the next level. Be sure to pay attention to the mission panel, as it tells you how many star cubes still need to be cleared in order to complete the current mission. You are only given as many star cubes as there are lying on the playing board at the beginning of the game. |
